The Rosemount Irish boys' golf team just barely dodged the rain and wind last Saturday at Emerald Greens Golf Course as they competed in the Dakota County Boys' Golf Championships. The Irish finished second as a team with a score of 315 in a field of seven teams plus them. Lakeville South sent three teams (White, Red and Gold) and their Gold team took first and Red third.

Senior Wyatt Ebner took third individually for Rosemount with a score of 76. Right behind him was senior Parker Trana who shot a 77. Junior Nathan Roberts and sophomore Ethan Schnichels both came in with 81s, while fellow sophomore Luke Rexing shot an 83 and eighth-grader Owen Rexing an 85.

Rosemount also fielded a second team, Rosemount Blue, which consisted of four golfers (all sophomores). William Tollefson scored an 80, Drew Schultz an 88, David Westphal shot an 88 and Riley Bawek a 102.

There were seven teams who competed in the championships on Emerald Greens' Silver course besides Rosemount: St. Croix Lutheran, Simley, Apple Valley, Eagan and the three Lakeville South teams.
