Rosemount seniors Andrew Reuter and Evan Geiwitz returned to the gridiron this past Saturday as they played one last prep football game—the 2018 Minnesota Football Showcase held at U.S. Bank Stadium—an all-star game featuring 92 players from across the state. Geiwitz and Reuter played on the Minnesota South All-Star team, which beat the North 33-12.

Reuter was selected at wide receiver and caught one pass for 11 yards. Geiwitz played cornerback and had an interception and three tackles, including two for a loss. Reuter led the Irish during this past season with 34 catches for 489 yards and three touchdowns. Geiwitz was the leader of the Irish defensive backfield and pulled in five interceptions.

They were two of seven players chosen from the Metro-South sub-district—which is basically the South Suburban Conference—along with Marcus Shepley and Kyle Atkinson of Burnsville, Michael Herbst of Prior Lake and Will Mostaert and Jack Hansen of Lakeville North.
