FARMINGTON, MN - Apryl J. Sterling, 38, of Farmington, formerly of Bessemer, MI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Minnesota. She was born April 15,1980 in Hibbing, Minnesota, daughter of the late David Anderson and Doreen (Johnson) Anderson.

She moved to Apple Valley, MN with her family during her high school years. Apryl graduated from high school in Apple Valley, MN with the class of 1998.

She attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and St. Cloud State University with an associate degree. Apryl continued her education at Dakota County Technical College and earned a nursing degree.

On December 7, 2006, Apryl was united in marriage to Chad Sterling in Bloomington, MN.

Apryl's happiest moments were spending time with her family and friends, traveling and camping especially with her son, Caden.

One of her most favorite pastimes was watching her son play baseball. She was his biggest fan.

Apryl took pleasure in crafting. She loved the holidays because she could indulge in her crafting talent. Music and dance were some of her passions.

Apryl worked at HealthEast Clinic - Midway, in St. Paul, MN where she shared her most admirable trait, her compassion for others. She lit up a room with her smile and illuminated the world with her heart.

Apryl is survived by her son, Caden; her best friend, Chad; her mother Doreen (Dale Walker) Anderson, Bessemer, MI; two sisters, Dara (Joe Lieske) Anderson, Savage, MN and Melissa Anderson, Moose Lake, MN; her godson and nephew, Cody Dauwalter, Savage, MN. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ryan Heiniemi and Anya also held her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, David on May 12, 2008; her grandparents; and Cory Dauwalter.

The family will greet relatives and friends Friday, February 22, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 22120 Denmark Avenue, Farmington, MN.

A Memorial Liturgy will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church.

A luncheon will be served at the church hall following the Memorial Liturgy.

Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer, MI at a later date.
