One of the ships the Rosemount Area Historical Society will discuss is the Benjamin Noble, an overloaded vessel that was lost with all hands during a storm in April of 1914. In 1987 the publisher of Lake Superior Magazine offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who could locate the wreck. It was finally discovered in 2004 about 10 miles offshore from Two Harbors.
