The fourth-ranked Rosemount gymnastics team all but locked up its second straight undefeated season in the South Suburban Conference with a 146.825-141.225 triumph over 9th-rated Lakeville North last Tuesday in Rosemount.

The Irish had five gymnasts turn in scores of 9.0 or better in both the vault and floor exercise. The team’s 37.2 in the beam may have been its highest score ever in the event, according to coach Jason Passeri.

“This was a great confidence booster for us to put up a score that big heading into sections,” Passeri said.

The Irish took a 7-0 league mark into Tuesday’s final meet of the regular season against Apple Valley. The Rosemount JV also has a perfect 7-0 record.
