Editorial: Enjoy Leprechaun Days

By the time this issue of the Town Pages reaches readers, the 2011 edition of Leprechaun Days will be more than half over. The Run for the Gold will be gone for another year. The bathtub races, Rosemount's biggest water balloon fight, will have rolled on.

If you've taken in one or more of the events, we suspect you've enjoyed yourself. From what we've seen, events have been well run and the weather has been about as close to perfect as you could ask for.

If you haven't made it out yet, well, what are you waiting for?

Leprechaun Days is the one entry that should be on every Rosemount resident's social calendar. From card tournaments to kiddie parades to concerts, there should be something to entertain just about anyone.

But Leprechaun Days is about more than just the activities. It's about making memories with family and friends. It's about getting out and meeting people -- meeting other Rosemount residents -- you otherwise might never come across.

More than anything, it's about turning a city into a community.

If you haven't had the chance yet to enjoy a Leprechaun Days activity there's no reason to worry. Time is quickly winding down, but there is plenty packed into the event's final days. The mid-summer fair kicks off Friday with vendors and other entertainment in the parking lot at city hall. There are bands. There are fireworks. And, of course, there's Saturday's parade.

There's more, but we don't have nearly enough room here to list it all. If you want a full schedule, you can find one at

Get out to Leprechaun Days. Have some fun. Meet some new people. You'll be glad you did.
