Editorial: ’Round and ’round we’ll go

07/25/2008 12:00 AM
My day-to-day life got just the tiniest bit more annoying this week. Early Tuesday morning construction crews closed Highway 3 to traffic between Farmington and Rosemount to install a roundabout, a traffic feature that is part intersection, part landscaping feature and part carnival ride.

Letter: Sterner is not such a strong leader

07/25/2008 12:00 AM
I am writing in response to Dianne Howell's July 18 opinion letter regarding strong leaders. It is important to set the record straight about actions of State Legislature candidate Phil Sterner.

Editorial: Take advantage of Leprechaun Days opportunities

07/24/2008 12:00 AM

Letter: Strong leaders: goodbye Dennis, hello Phil

I was reminded during the Apple Valley parade two weeks ago about the tremendous leadership this community has had and what big shoes there are to fill.

Letter: The Constitution means what it says it means

07/18/2008 12:00 AM
One thing I think should be mentioned during the upcoming election process. All these people running for office never seem to mention anything about representing us as our Constitution is written, not as they define the meaning of a document that is so simple to understand.

Letter: Missing: 1 historic marker

07/18/2008 12:00 AM
“The cornfields and village of the Sioux Chief Medicine Bottle occupied the land between this point and the river from 1838-1852."

Editorial: Whose voice would you like to hear online?

07/11/2008 12:00 AM

The Tour de France, the world's most popular rolling drug test clinic, got under way Saturday and sports fans across the United States found themselves asking the same important question: "Which one is Lance Armstrong, again?"
