The Pipers won by forfeit against Apple Valley in the opening round on Saturday before defeating Edina Crosstown Traffic, 6-5, on Sunday at Alimagnet Field in Burnsville.

Dan Hegberg did a little bit of everything in the win. He gave the team the lead with a three-run home run in the sixth, threw a runner out at the plate from left field and came out of the bullpen to pick up the save.

Chris Schwab and Greg Sell each added a pair of hits. Ken Fry, Sean Boos and Greg LeVon each drove in runs.

Jesse Riebel started on the mound and gave up four runs (three earned) despite 12 walks over five innings.

The Pipers (12-12) face Watertown Saturday afternoon in Cold Spring.
