TCC Materials will move manufacturing to Rosemount

TCC Materials has purchased a 75,000 sq. ft. building off of Biscayne Ave. Vice president and general manager Brian DiGrado said the company plans to move its manufacturing operations to the facility later this year.

The building includes 65,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 10,000 sq. ft. of office space. Currently, TCC Materials has a manufacturing facility in Maple Plain. DiGrado said the new facility will be nearly double the size.

The building was formerly owned by Commercial Millwork Solutions. Currently the building is empty.

DiGrado said the building will be renovated over the course of the summer to meet the company’s needs. He said part of those renovations will include adding a tower on the Southside of the building. The company has received a variance from the city for the enclosed tower.

If everything works out on schedule, DiGrado said the company will be moved into the new facility by October. Operations will include 15 full-time employees and some temporary workers.

Going forward, DiGrado said the company expects to grow and add positions.

TCC Material manufactures Akona brand materials. The company offers a complete line of packaged concrete and masonry products. TCC Materials is a sister company to Cemstone.

The new facility will be located near Cemstone’s UMore mining operation. DiGrado said while the two companies are affiliated, they are independently operated and owned.
