The Rosemount/Eagan girls lacrosse team has an 0-7 record so far this season. It's the first year of varsity action for the team.
They are coached by Angel Bodine.
"We have developed great as a team," Bodine said. "They have closed the gap on scoring, which is wonderfully. Their offense is getting so much stronger. We're getting more comfortable in the field as a team. It's just a work in progress. We're getting there."
Rosemount High School will be the site for the team's last game next week. At 6:30 p.m. on May 10, the Irish/Wildcats play host to the team from Eastview/Apple Valley.
Bodine said several players from Rosemount are playing key roles on the team.
Amber Hawk and Ashley Hawk are a pair of freshmen who are having good seasons. Freshman Rachel Geckler is also faring well.
Kyle Roche is a sophomore who is seeing a lot of varsity playing time, as well as Gabrielle Davis.
Megan Langfield is a junior and she has taken on a leadership role with the team, Bodine said.
In the team's most recent action, they lost to Kennedy, 8-5.
Goals were scored by Sara Perman, Leah Thaldorf, Mackenzie Vruno (2) and Brianna Caflisch.
In goal was Serinna Goettsch, who made nine saves.
