In difficult times it is important for people who have the ability to reach out and offer help to the people who need it most. These are some of the most difficult times we have experienced, and we find it fascinating to see the ways people in Rosemount have found to lend a hand.
Not long after the last student has thrown paper and books aside, Rosemount will celebrate another edition of Leprechaun Days, and from there it’s just a couple of weeks before the Dakota County Fair rolls back into town with its train of farm animals, fatty foods and demolition derbies.
Last winter I ended up with a new office mate at work. Late one night I was alone in my office, working with only the light of my monitor and desk lamp. The snow outside my window glittered in the moonlight. The bare trees threw spiny shadows across the snow.
As this issue of the Town Pages hits mailboxes around Rosemount most of our readers are likely deep into preparations for whatever holiday gathering they have planned. Some might even be too busy to give this particular issue the attention they might pay our paper in a normal week.
That’s OK. We know what it’s like this time of year. There’s plenty to do, and not nearly enough time to get it all done.
