Rosemount High School students chosen for U of M honor band
Eleven Rosemount High School musicians have been chosen for membership in the University of Minnesota High School Honor Band. The U of M has chosen the members of their high school honor band as the best high school musicians in the state. The Rosemount students auditioned along with several hundred others from around the state.December 16, 2011

Shannon Park kindergarteners prepare for Thanksgiving with a feast
Kindergarten students at Shannon Park Elementary School got in the Thanksgiving mood Tuesday with a makeshift feast. The students learned lessons about making friends, then donned construction-paper hats and bonnets and native American-style belts for a feast of marshmallows, pretzels, crackers and apple cider.November 23, 2011
Teachers could get extra development time
The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District is trying to carve out some extra time for teachers to get better at doing the job of teaching. Rosemount Elementary School students honor veterans
Students and staff at Rosemount Elementary School held a flag-raising ceremony Friday morning to mark Veterans Day. Students gathered outside the school at the beginning of the day to hear prinicpal Tom Idstrom talk about veterans and their service. Veterans greet students at Red Pine Elementary
Veterans from Rosemount and the surrounding area were on hand to greet students Friday morning at Red Pine Elementary School. The event, held as part of the school's Veterans Day activities, had the veterans shaking hands, giving high fives and otherwise helping students start their morning.
