County will upgrade security PressPass

Improvements are planned this year in the security systems in both the Dakota County Law Enforcement and Juvenile Services centers at the Dakota County Government Center in Hastings. The total cost of the improvements this year is expected to be about $366,000. When the entire project is completed by 2013, the estimated cost is about $1.24 million.

New name carries on building’s past The former St. Joseph Church has a new name that reflects its old purpose. The Rosemount City Council voted Tuesday to approve the Rosemount Steeple Center as the new name for the building, which the city bought when the church moved to a new location on Biscayne Avenue.
