With budget set, levy talk comes next
After months of discussions and some significant cuts the final approval of District 196’s preliminary budget went by without incident Monday.
Board members approved a budget that includes $15 million in budget adjustments, including the elimination of about 90 classroom teaching positions. Discussion about those cuts began in December, and the final decision was made in April.

Recognizing a lasting legacy at RHS
Rosemount High School hopes to secure the future of its performing arts center by celebrating its past.
On June 18 the school will present former choir director Steve Boehlke with its first Legacy Award, a kind of Hall of Fame recognition for people who have made significant contributions to the arts at RHS. The presentation will be part of an evening of music and dance the school hopes will become a tradition.
