One Rosemount Feeding Families
One Rosemount Feeding Families will bring residents together to provide food for the hungry locally and globally all day March 2 at Rosemount Middle School and Rosemount Elementary School. Working with the non-profit ImpactLives volunteers will pack and ship meals to Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic. To learn more about the event visit www.onerosemountfeedingfamilies.com.
Cheryl Kluender, an exhibiting artist and a member of Rosemount Area Arts Council will teach a watercolor class at the Steeple Center Front Porch from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays in March. The cost is $40 for all four classes. Kluender’s work is on display at both the Robert Trail Library and the Steeple Center. She will work with both beginners and advanced students and cover elements of design, color and value. Students will be contacted to inform them of the supplies needed for the class. Baby story time
The Robert Trail Library will host a story time for babies from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. March 6 in the meeting room. Stories, songs, bounces and playtime make this ideal for children 24 months and younger.
Storytime will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. March 7 in the Robert Trail Library meeting room. Stories and activities make this event ideal for a mixed-age audience including families and childcare groups.
Teens can learn to write poetry at 3 p.m. March 8 in the Robert Trail Library meeting room. Write your own poetry by knowing what words to black out and what words to leave on a page from a book. Open to children and teens ages 8 to 18.
Classic movie night
The Rosemount Area Arts Council will host a Classic Movie Night at 7:30 p.m. March 8 at the Steeple Center, 14375 S. Robert Tr. Casablanca will be shown on the big screen. Tickets are $5 and are available at the Front Porch of the Steeple Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, at Rudy’s or online at rosemountarts.com.
KC fish fry
The Rosemount Knights of Columbus will host a fish fry starting at 5:30 p.m. March 8 at St. Joseph Social Hall, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W. Cost is free will offering.
