Former Minnesota Senator, U.S. Representative and Minnesota Governor Al Quie spoke to students at Rosemount HIgh School about life, leadership and politics Feb. 20.
Former Minnesota Senator, U.S. Representative and Minnesota Governor Al Quie spoke to students at Rosemount High School about life, leadership and politics Feb. 20. Quie made the visit at the request of Kurt Bills, who said Quie became something of a mentor during Bills’ run for the U.S. Senate last year. Quie told stories from his many years in government — including spending time with a New York City gang as part of his research on gang violence — as well as the summers he spent hiking the Continental Divide.
