Women’s health event
Divas and Denim will host a women’s health event from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 21. The event will feature Mrs. Rosemount Lisa Thomas talking about blood clot awareness and heart health. The evening will include appetizers, refreshments and a drawing. Those who wear Red will be entered into a special drawing.
Special Delivery Singers
The Special Delivery Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Robert Trail Library. The group will present standards, TV theme songs, a sing-along and a surprise. The concert is free and open to the public.
Exhibit at Rosemount UMC
The Rosemount United Methodist Church Gallery presents The Shrine of the Stations of the Cross, an exhibition of photographs by Dave Kitchel. While traveling in San Luis, Colorado, Dave was inspired to capture images of Huberto Maesta’s life sized bronze statues depicting Christ’s last hours. The exhibit opened Feb. 13 and will run through April 14. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. The exhibit can also be viewed during all scheduled evening activities.
KC fish fry
The Rosemount Knights of Columbus will host their first fish fry of the Lent season starting at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at St. Joseph Social Hall.
Cover letter workshop
The Robert Trail Library will host a workshop on how to write a cover letter at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 in the computer lab. Cover letters are an important piece of the job search puzzle. Topics will include the difference between a mailed and emailed letter and what to include to get an employer’s attention. The class will be taught by Dakota County Workforce Center staff.
VFW Lent dinner
The Rosemount VFW Post 9433 invites veterans and guests to their Lent season walleye dinners from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays at 2625 120th St. W. The post will serve walleye on Friday through March 29. The meal will include fish, potato, vegetable and choice of soup or salad. For more information call 651-423-9938.
The Rosemount United Methodist Church senior high youth group will host a spaghetti dinner and pie auction starting at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at Rosemount United Methodist Church. The pie auction will begin at 7 p.m. Free will donations will be accepted for the dinner. The money raised will help youth attend a summer mission trip in Philadelphia.
Firearm training registration
Registration for DNR firearm training will take place at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at Rosemount Middle School. The class will begin at 7 p.m. March 5 at RMS.
Class size is limited to 40 participants. One-hundred percent attendance is required. Fee is $7.50. Participants must be at least 11 years old. A parent or legal guardian must accompany students on the first night of class.
