The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on January 22, 2013 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - January 8, 2013.

Support legislative positions of other organizations that Commissioners are appointed to. Replacement financial assurance and release of financial assurance for Frattalone’s Dawnway Demolition Landfill. Applications – Dawn Degrote for abatement of penalty and interest. Appointments – Member to Human Services Advisory Committee and 2013 Chair and member to Public Art Citizen advisory committee. Grants – Contract with MN Department of Public Safety for 2013 Urban Area Security Initiative Homeland Security Grant. Submit application to MN Department of Public Safety for 2013 Homeland Security Grant program.

Authorizations: Amendments – 2013 Parks Capital Improvement Project (CIP) budget for Whitetail Woods Regional Park Phase 1 project. Financial Management agreement with Solid Waste Management Coordinating Board. Award of Bid/Contract – Traffic Control Corporation of traffic signal cabinets. Contracts – Mend Correctional Care for nursing services. JHPool Consulting, Incorporated for project management services. Motorola, Inc. for post-warranty support services for 800 MHz subsystem. Contracts Amendments – Ally People Solutions for office support service. Joint Powers Agreements (JPA) – Various cities for pharmaceutical collection. Lease Agreements – Licensing Agreement with Independent School District 197 for space for emergency public health activities. 2013 agricultural use of County property.

Information Items: Reports - Invoices Paid in November and December 2012, Semi Annual Market Value Abatement Report, and Legislative Update. The next regular Dakota County Board meeting will be held February 5, 2013, at 9:00 a.m.
