Dakota County Project 79-04 - BIDS for Cty Rd 79 and 80S

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the Empire Transportation Facility at 2800 160th Street West, Rosemount, MN. Until 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at which time they will be opened and read aloud for the following County project:

Project 79-04 Grading, Aggregate Base, Culverts, and Bituminous Paving on County Road 79 (Blaine Avenue) from County Road 47 to County Road 80 (3.26 miles) and on County Road 80S (260th Street East) from 1 mile west of County Road 79 to County Road 79 in Castle Rock Township.

Major quantities of work on County Road 79 and County Road 80S include: 187,000 cubic yards of excavation; 77,000 cubic yards of granular borrow; 25,000 cubic yards of aggregate base; 21,000 tons of bituminous mixture; 1,600 feet of CS pipe culvert, 600 feet of RC pipe culvert; and 21 acres of seeding.

It is anticipated that a contract to perform the work will be awarded by resolution of the Dakota County Board of Commissioners at the County Board meeting scheduled for March 12, 2013.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond, made in favor of Dakota County in an amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount bid. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities therein.
