Law Enforcement Center (LEC) 8100 Block Remodel

Hastings, Minnesota

Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the for the remodel of 8100 cell block located at Law Enforcement Center (LEC) 1580 Highway 55, Hastings MN 55033 until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday January 31, 2013 at the office of Facilities Management, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings Minnesota, 55033 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Pre-bid conference and tour will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at the site. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present.

Bidding documents including the bid form, drawings and specifications can be obtained from Franz Reprographics www.franzrepro.com and will be available on or after January 15, 2013 for review at the office of CNH Architects, 7300 West 147th Street, Suite 504, Apple Valley, MN 55124, at the Minneapolis Builders Exchange; St. Paul Builders Exchange; and Reed Construction Data. This project includes demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, casework, doors, paint, high-build glazed coatings, detention equipment, mechanical, and electrical.

Prevailing wages are required on this project.

Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in the Bid Document - Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each equal to 100% of the total contract amount.

Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on February 26, 2013 and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Estimated cost for this package is $450,000.
