Kids can build using their imaginations and Legos at the library Jan. 5 and Bluegrass Americana Family Nights start back up Jan. 10

January 5

Legos and Duplos

Play with Lego and Duplos at the library from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 5 in the Robert Trail Meeting Room. Kids can get their imaginations going while exploring the many things they can create with Lego. Open to children two-years-old to 12.

January 8

History book club

The History Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Robert Trail Library. The group will discuss the book Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

January 9

Baby storytime

The Robert Trail Library will host its baby storytime from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Jan. 9 in the meeting room. Stories, songs, bounces and playtime make his storytime perfect for children newborn to 24 months and their caregivers.

Asante Children’s Choir

The Asante Children’s Choir will perform at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 at Community of Hope Church.

The choir is made up of children from East Africa, a region recovering from years of civil war and genocide. Their mission is to spread love, hope and joy while raising awareness for the desperate plight of orphans and other vulnerable children. Their colorful clothing, pounding drums and sweet voices demonstrate their hope and dream for a brighter future. Their inspirational stories of resilience have instilled hope in the hearts of all those who have seen them perform.

Storytime

Storytime will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Jan. 10 in the Robert Trail Library meeting room. Stories and activities make this ideal for a mixed-age audience including families and childcare groups.

Bluegrass Family Night

The Rosemount Area Arts Count and Celts Pub will once again partner to put on the Bluegrass Americana Family Nights series. Rosemount’s own Sawtooth will start the series off at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at Celts, 14506 S. Robert Tr.
