Rosemount employee of the year announcedRecreation Supervisor Lisa Maurer has been named the city's 2012 Employee of the Year
Recreation Supervisor Lisa Maurer has been named the City of Rosemount’s 2012 Employee of the Year for her service to the organization and the community it serves, according to a press release from the city.
“Lisa consistently provides high quality programs, creates valuable collaborations, and is a vital resource to the community,” said Rosemount Parks and Recreation Director Dan Schultz. “She is an extremely focused person and works very efficiently. Lisa’s strong work ethic and willingness to overcome the challenges are just some of the attributes that make her an excellent employee.”
Maurer was among five employees nominated for the recognition by colleagues. Her selection for the top honor was made by the City’s management team, led by City Administrator Dwight Johnson.
Maurer’s main duties include coordinating youth and family recreational activities, overseeing the production of the Parks and Recreation brochure, and supervising rentals of the Steeple Center.
Maurer joined the Rosemount staff in October 1997. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
She is the tenth recipient of the annual award, created by the City to honor employees who provide excellent customer service, achieve savings and efficiency in government, and serve as models of safe work habits. Names of employees of the year are engraved on a plaque displayed in the upper lobby of Rosemount City Hall.
