Coffee parties will help “sell”

Rosemount issue

At a special meeting of the Rosemount School Publicity Committee held Monday evening, the committee decided that discussion of the needs by small groups was essential in planning for the January 8 school bond election.

In using this means to acquaint people of the school district with the needs, coffee parties will be held throughout the area on a neighborhood basis. Committee members plan to contact former Study Committee members and others to arrange for their assistance on this important neighborhood project.

The committee again stresses that the need of the school district for additional new facilities is critical. It shall be the purpose of this committee to acquaint the people of the school area with this need and with the plans for the solution of it.

The Board of Education recently appointed this committee to assist them in informing the people concerning the $1,700,000 bond issue election which will be held on Jan. 8, 1963.

At that time voters of the district will be asked to approve the bond issue for the construction of a new senior high school and addition of a lunch room to the present high school.
