PUBLIC NOTICE

Dakota County Community Development Agency

Notice is hereby given of an opportunity for public comment on the proposed substantial amendments to the Dakota County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for Federal Fiscal Year 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011.

Proposed Substantial Amendments

The CDA 2007 Action Plan shall be amended to:

•Allocate $72,838.76 of undesignated City of Apple Valley funds; and

•Create the Apple Valley Public Housing Rehabilitation activity with a budget of $72,838.76.

•Complete the Farmington Business Development Grant activity with a remainder of $17,510; and

•Create the City of Coates emergency weather siren public improvement activity with a budget of $7,510; and

•Increase the countywide well sealing program from a current balance of $0 to $10,000.

The CDA 2008 Action Plan shall be amended to:

•Allocate $4,507.81 of undesignated City of Northfield funds; and

•Create the City of Randolph emergency weather siren public improvement activity with a budget of $4,507.81.

•Complete the Northfield Residential Rehabilitation activity with a remaining budget of $14,498.52; and

•Create the City of Coates emergency weather siren public improvement activity with a budget of $14,498.52.

The CDA 2010 Action Plan shall be amended to:

•Complete the Apple Valley Residential Rehabilitation activity with a remaining budget of $25,225.29; and

•Create the Apple Valley Public Housing Rehabilitation activity with a budget of $25,225.29.

The CDA 2011 Action Plan shall be amended to:

•Decrease the Apple Valley Residential Rehabilitation activity with a current balance of $110,500 to $93,564.05; and

•Create the Apple Valley Public Housing Rehabilitation activity with a budget of $16,935.95.

Public comments may be submitted orally or in writing to the CDA through January 6, 2013. Approval of the proposed amendments, subject to consideration of public comments, will be on the agenda of the Dakota County Board of Commissioners meeting to be held at the Dakota County Government Center, third floor, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033 on January 8, 2013 at 9:00a.m.
