Upcoming events
There are a number of events going on this weekend. On Friday the Irish Girls Basketball team will host their Tip-off Classic and Saturday there are several musical performances including Bill Lauf at the Steeple Center.
November 16
Irish Girls Tip-Off
The Irish Girls Basketball team will host their Tip-Off Classic Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 16 at Rosemount High School Gym. Everyone is invited to participate in the event especially youth basketball players. The event will include a skills contest, skill stations, a three-point contest, autographs from the girls varsity players and more. Wear your basketball shoes and shorts and take part in the fun.
November 17
Brooke Ellis at Las Tortillas
Singer Brooke Ellis will perform from 8 to 10 p.m. Nov. 17 at Las Tortillas, 15051 Crestone Ave. The acoustic performance will include original songs as well as some covers.
Girl Scout Craft Sale
The Rosemount Valley Girl Scouts will host their second annual craft and bake sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Rosemount Middle School Cafeteria. Girls from two dozen troops from Rosemount and Apple Valley will make and sell crafts, holiday ornaments, hair accessories, jewelry, baking mixes and more.
Bill Lauf concert
@bodycopy: Singer, song writer Bill Lauf will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Steeple Center. Lauf plays the four and eight-string tenor guitars. He will be accompanied by bassist Gordon Johnson and percussionist LaMont Sandifer. Tickets are available at http://www.rosemountarts.com or at the door.
November 18
Irishettes spaghetti dinner
The Rosemount High School Irishettes will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Rosemount American Legion, 14590 Burma Ave. Cost is $8.
