Mike Eaton has started Errands and Extras. The business offers a number of services to help busy people be a little less so.

Mike Eaton is a driven man who likes to help people. He decided to combine these two parts of his personality to start a new business.

Errands and Extras offers a variety of services including household duties, shopping and pickup and delivery.

His household services include minor home repairs, indoor and outdoor cleaning, home sale preparations and gardening. Additionally, Eaton said he will do daily errands like grocery shopping and pickup and delivery for items such as dry cleaning, pharmacy or packages. He also will take vehicles in for maintenance and cleaning. Other services include house sitting, pet care, putting up holiday decoration and recycling.

“I believe in really servicing the customer. I want to make life easier,” said Eaton.

Eaton said people should feel free to call even if what they need done isn’t on his list of services. While he won’t do tasks he’s not qualified to do, Eaton said he knows a lot of people and can refer them to someone who can.

Before starting Errands and Extras, Eaton owned a hotel renovation business. Eaton said he has experience in a variety of fields, which makes this business ideal.

He hopes to help busy families as well as older folks who don’t get around so well. While he hasn’t had many customers yet, he hopes as word of mouth spreads he will be able to grow the business.

“I’m really excited about it,” said Eaton.

Going forward, Eaton said he hopes to be able to add employees and possibly grow to other communities. But for now he’s concentrating on helping one customer at a time.

“People just don’t get service like they used to. I hope I can give that to them,” said Eaton.
