Ladies, get ready to kick up your heels and have some fun. Community of Hope Church invites all women for a Girls Night Out from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 in the main worship center.

Communications director Renee Graves said the event will be a good time and encouraged women from the community to come out and enjoy. Women from the congregation have put together themed baskets for the event.

The event will feature a silent auction, live auction, music and food. The emcees and auctioneers will be Gina Meihofer and Jenny Doll. Graves said the live auction is especially fun because the auctioneers keep it lively.

“They talk so fast,” said Graves.

Graves said this is the eighth year the Community of Hope Women’s Ministry has put on the event. She said the event usually draws 200 to 300 women.

Admission is free. Attendees are asked to bring a canned good for the food shelf. Women who bring a canned food item will receive a free raffle ticket. The event is open to women over 18.

Proceeds from the auctions and raffles will support the women’s ministry. Graves said the proceeds help put on affordable events for women and to provide scholarships. They will donate 10 percent of the funds raised to the food shelf.

Graves said the community has been kind in its support of the event and she hopes women will come out and enjoy.
