The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on September 11, 2012 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - August 28, 2012. Adopted – 2013 proposed property tax levy and 2013 Vermillion River Watershed special tax district proposed levy. Applications – Assemblage of large numbers of people license for Rotary Club of Farmington and Valek Auctions. Repurchase of tax-forfeited parcel by TCF Bank. Appointments – Judith Brumfield to Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board. Gifts – To Dakota County Library from SKB Environmental, Dakota County Library Foundation and Target. Plats – Tullamore 1st Addition in City of Lakeville and Prestwick Place 4th Addition in City of Rosemount. Property – Acquisition of right of way for Mississippi River Regional Trail (MRRT). Convey right of way to City of Lakeville and revoke county highway status. Public Hearing – Held public hearing on and adopted Ordinance Number 132, Dakota County Storm Drain Sytstem.

Authorizations: Support for Metropolitan Council’s application to Counties Transit Improvement Board. Review of proposed to Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 in City of Farmington. Agreements –Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) for detour reimbursement. Mn/DOT Cooperative Construction agreement for County Project (CP) 5-41. Award of Bid/Contract – Award bid and execute contract for CP 68-10 and CP 85-18. Contracts – Contract extension with Hollstadt and Associates for Business Analysis Services. Scheduled - Public hearing on jurisdictional transfers in Caste Rock Township for October 30, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

Information Items: Audience Appearance – Terry Flowers and Gail Berger, Hastings, MN, regarding road maintenance. Presentation – Digital Counties Survey 2012 – 3rd Place Award. The next regular Dakota County Board meeting will be held October 2, 2012, at 9 a.m.
