The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on July 31, 2012 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - July 10, 2012. Appointments - Human Services Advisory Committee and Dakota County 2012 Canvass members. Grants - Metropolitan Council for reimbursement of Cedar Avenue Transitway appraisal funds. Licenses - Solid Waste Composting Facility - SKB Environmental, Inc. Rosemount. Assemblage of Large Numbers of People - Southern Cruzers, Inc. Plans - Intend to execute cooperative agreement with Hennepin County for medical examiner services. Vermillion Highlands and Rosemount Regional Greenway Master Plans. County Administrator’s performance review summary. Plat - Kingsley Shores Senior Living, Lakeville. Proclamation - August 2012 - Child Support Awareness Month. Property - Acquisition of right of way for the Mississippi River Regional Trail Rosemount Segment. Appraise Klein Property, Rosemount, for acquisition. Acquire Kane Property on Cannon River. 2013 Farmland and Natural Areas Program Application Round. Settlement - Billmeyer, et al. v. Dakota County.

Authorizations: Agreements - Blue Earth County for use of Dakota County’s database for the Metro Alliance for Healthy Families Program. Nininger Township for revocation of County Road (CR) 87. 2012 Labor Agreement with AFSCME Council 5 Local 306. MN Department of Transportation for Trunk Highway 3 Detour, State Project 1921-87. Allocation of Funds - Parks and Open Space Capital Improvement Program - 2012 state appropriation funds. Contracts - HIRED to provide job services. McNamara Contracting, Inc. for CR 87, Nininger Township, County Project 87-06. Joint Powers Agreements - Castle Rock Township for local ordinances enforcement. MN Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for Criminal Justice Information Integration Network eCharging integration. MN Valley Transit Authority membership. Purchase - Disaster recovery hardware, software, and professional services. Requests - Letter to MN Pollution Control Agency to modify criteria for solid waste facilities on county land in Empire Township. State Aid Screening Board for additional state aid mileage.
