ACCURACY TEST
Notice is hereby given that the public test of the AccuVote vote tabulating equipment and the AutoMark electronic ballot marking equipment will be conducted on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Treasurer-Auditor’s Office, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN. The voting equipment will be used in the following municipalities in Dakota County: Castle Rock Township, Coates, Douglas Township, Empire Township, Eureka Township, Greenvale Township, Hampton, Hampton Township, Lilydale, Marshan Township, Mendota, Miesville, New Trier, Nininger Township, Northfield W-3 P-2, Randolph, Randolph Township, Ravenna Township, Sciota Township, Sunfish Lake, Vermillion, Vermillion Township and Waterford Township. The test will be observed by at least two election judges, who are not of the same political party, and is open to representatives of the political parties, candidates, the press and the public.
The voting system will be tested to ascertain that the system will correctly mark ballots and count the votes cast for all candidates.
