Rosemount residents have been honored by universities and colleges
Gus Magnuson
Gus William Magnuson of Rosemount graduated from North Dakota State University this spring. Magnuson earned a bachelor of science degree in Animal Science
Jordan Wilhelmi
Jordan Wilhelmi, a 2009 graduate of Rosemount High School, has received the Director’s Award scholarship from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota. Jordan is the son of David and Sherrie Wilhelmi of Rosemount.
Stephanie Laumer
Stephanie Laumer, a 2010 graduate of Rosemount High School, has received the Bernie Ridder Scholarship from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at the University of Minnesota. Stephanie is the daughter of Todd and Julie Laumer of Rosemount.
Jon Zieman
Jon Zieman of Rosemount graduated from Tulane University this spring. He graduated from the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with a Master of Public Health degree.
University of Minnesota, Duluth dean’s list
Several Rosemount students have been named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Students include freshman Katherine A Aune, junior Eric T Beltz, senior Phillip J Fish, senior Cassandra L Geckler, senior Garrett Glaus, freshman Michael W Huffstutler, senior Alaina C Johnson, junior Jenna D Kehoe, junior Kacey L Kujala, and senior Brett T Lucke. Students named to the list have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical graduates
Three Rosemount residents graduated from Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical. Earning degrees were Vicki Hagen, associate in science degree, Nursing; Nancy Jorgensen, associate in science degree, Nursing; and Marcos Montano III, diploma, Jewelry Manufacturing and Repair.
Madeline Smith
Sophomore Madeline Smith of Rosemount was named to the spring semester dean’s list at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Smith is a 2008 graduate of Rosemount High School.
Normandale dean’s list
Normandale Community College announced its spring 2012 semester dean’s list. Rosemount students on the list include Janeva Boker-Schulz, Deanna Gentili, Danielle Harjo, Kaela Kirchgatter, Joelle Krona, Kathryn Krueger, Jennifer Matz, David Officer, John Reynolds, Navita Singh, Mylani Tran, Stewart Udvig and Justin Wallace. Students named to the list have earned a grade point average of 3.50 or better on a 4,0 scale. Kirchgatter, Krueger and Tran all earned a 4.0 g.p.a.
MSU, Mankato dean’s list
The academic high Honor and honor lists for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced. Students who qualified for the high honor list achieved a 4.0 grade point average, while those on the honors list earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average. Rosemount students on the honors list include Amanda Anderson, Andrew Burt, Kelsey Magnuson, Gabriel Mateo, Kiley Nuernberg, Jesse Osvold, Eric Pittelkow, Cassandra Wenzel, Kayla Wettstein, and Alexandra Wyss. Emily Nelson and Nicholas Pipho were named to the high honors list.
Megan Eul
Megan Eul of Rosemount graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston at the end of the 2012 spring semester. Eul earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She graduated with high distinction.
Eul was also placed on the U of M, Crookston chancellor’s list for the spring semester. Students who have been named to the chancellor’s list have earned a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.
Ann Zaske
Ann Elizabeth Zaske of Rosemount was named to the dean’s list at Carthage College. Students on the list have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
Colleen Baker, Travis Hirman
Colleen G Baker and Travis C Hirman of Rosemount were put on the honors list at the University of Wisonconsin-Stevens Point for spring semester. Honor recognition is accorded to those with grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.
