Sealed bid for Project 87-06

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the Empire Transportation Facility at 2800 160th Street West, Rosemount, MN. until 9:00 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at which time they will be opened and read aloud for the following County project:

Project 87-06 Grading, Aggregate Base, and Bituminous Paving on County Road 87 (Lock Boulevard) from west of Ivanhoe Avenue to County State Aid Highway 42 in Nininger Township for a length of 1.2 miles.

Major quantities of work on County Road 87 include: 17,000 square yards of bituminous pavement removal, 10,000 cubic yards of excavation; 6,700 cubic yards of select granular borrow, 3,600 cubic yards of aggregate base; and 4,000 tons of bituminous mixture.

It is anticipated that a contract to perform the work will be awarded by resolution of the Dakota County Board of Commissioners at the County Board meeting scheduled for July 31, 2012.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond, made in favor of Dakota County in an amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount bid. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities therein.
