Two men, one from Rosemount and one from Hastings, face felony fraud charges after they reportedly broke into vehicles parked in a Rosemount home and went on a spending spree with the credit cards they found.
Rosemount police received the burglary report just after 6 a.m. June 5. The homeowner told police vehicles in their garage had been broken into and items including an iPad, wallet and credit cards had been stolen.
The credit cards were later used at stores in Burnsville, Savage and Shakopee to buy gift cards, iPads, headphone and other items. Police eventually identified Frederick Kileo, 20, of Rosemount and Palagor Jobi, 21, of Savage from store surveillance.
Kileo admitted in an interview police that he improperly used the credit cards.
If convicted on the financial transaction card fraud charge Kileo and Jobi could face a sentence of up to 10 years and fines of up to $20,000.
