Molly Flynn is becoming a regular at the state golf tournament.

Flynn, a junior, has qualified for state in each of her three years at Rosemount High School, most recently by shooting a two-day score of 168 in the Section 3AAA tournament at Phalen Golf Course and Bunker Hills Golf Club.

Rosemount did not qualify for the second round of section play as a team, but Flynn, who shot an 82 on day one May 30, was one of four Irish golfers to advance as individuals. The top 10 girls not on a qualifying team advance. Senior Mackenzie Gogolin, who shot an 87, freshman Monica McDonald (94) and senior Katie Peare (98) all advanced for the Irish. Gogolin finished with a 177 for the two-day tournament, McDonald had a 179 and Peare had a 194.

The top five individuals not on a state-bound team qualify for the state tournament. Flynn tied with Apple Valley’s Lauren Kerr behind Eagan’s Shelby Braun (160) and Woodbury’s Katie Moore (161). Anna Keys of Park qualified with a 171.

Eastview won the section title with a two-day total of 672.

The state tournament will take place June 12 and 13 at Bunker Hills.
