Rosemount students have been honored by colleges and universities
Noah Banchy
Noah Banchy of Rosemount earned a bachelor of arts degree in English, with a creative writing minor, from Coe College. Commencement was held May 6. He is the son of John and Cindy Banchy.
Jonathan Walsh
Jonathan Walsh, son of Michael and Julie Walsh of Apple Valley, participated in the commencement ceremony at Saint John’s University on May 13 in the Saint John’s Abbey and University Church, Collegeville. Walsh is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts degree in management.
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire graduates
Several Rosemount students participated in the commencement ceremony at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Students and their degrees include Alexandra Bottem, BBA, marketing; Danika Curtiss, BS, communication sciences and disorders; Alana Howard, BS, special education; Daniel Jandro, BBA, business finance; Joshua Marek, BBA, information systems; and Toni Simones, BS, biology.
Christoffer Berntsen
Christoffer Robert Berntsen, a 2003 graduate of Rosemount High School and a 2008 graduate of University of Wisconsin-River Falls, recieved his Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville on May 11, 2012. Berntsen is practicing at San Diego Hearing Center in San Diego, Calif.
Emily Anderson
Emily Anderson of Rosemount has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Waldorf College. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
Minnesota State University, Mankato graduates
A number of Rosemount students graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Commencement was held May 5. Students to graduate and their degrees include: Joel deRegnier, BS, family consumer science; Jennifer Hansen, BA, Scandinavian studies; Jennifer Hansen, BS, cognitive science; Ryan Maki, BS, automotive engineering tech; Adedayo Ologunde, BS, computer science; Eric Pittelkow, BS, human biology, summa cum laude; Andrew Simonson, BS, biomedical sciences; Christine Thomas, BS, music: education; and Cassandra Wenzel, BS, dental hygiene, summa cum laude.
Romina Cruz
Romina Cruz of Rosemount has graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, with a major in nursing. Commencement was held at the school on May 12.
North Dakota State University dean’s list
Several Rosemount students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at North Dakota State University. To be named to the list, a student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher. Rosemount students on the list and their majors are: Brandt G. Berghuis, undecided; Maryssa A. Collins, marketing; John D. Evenocheck, microbiology; Michael R. Gill, microbiology; Blake G. Hagen, environmental design; Brooke L. Northwick, business administration; Rachel J. Pond, criminal justice; Hannah P. Walbruch, pharmaceutical sciences; and Rebecca M. Wiig, radiologic sciences.
