Campus notes
Students from Rosemount have been honored by institutions of higher learning. Romina Cruz and Samantha Schouweiler graduated. Aaron Newman and Emily Anderson received a scholarships.
Aaron Newman
Aaron Newman of Rosemount is senior at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus majoring in technical theater. He recently won several awards from the faculty of the Department of Theater Arts and Dance. The awards included a scholarship for the 2012 University Century Council Award in Audio/Media; the 2012 Charles Washburn Nicholas Service Award, in recognition of the senior student who has contributed the most servkice to the the Department of Theater during his yearas of residence; and the 2012 Jean Congdon Scholarship. Aaron Newman is a 2009 graduate of Rosemount High School.
Romina Cruz
Romina Cruz of Rosemount graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay May 12. She earned a degree in nursing.
Samantha Schouweiler
Samantha Schouweiler was among 230 graduating seniors at Northwestern College’s commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 12. Schouweiler majored in modified music and elementary education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Marti Schouweiler of Rosemount.
Emily Anderson
Emily Anderson of Rosemount was awarded the Odvin Hagen Music Scholarship on Waldorf College Honors Day in Forest City, Iowa. Anderson is a freshman at Waldorf.
