The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on April 24, 2012 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - April 10, 2012. Gift - Edstrom Family, $800 to Dakota County Parks in memory of Tom Edstrom. Plans - Community Corrections and Human Services Advisory Committees Work Plans. Dakota County Commissioner Redistricting Plan. Dakota County Strategic Plan. Plat - Gopher Eagan Industrial Park 8TH Addition and release of dedicated access rights on CSAH 28, Eagan. Proclamation - April 22 – 28, 2012 as Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Projects - Supports the common resolution for Metropolitan Regional Park agencies. Programs - Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Dislocated Worker programs and services for veterans, low-income adults, and dislocated workers. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program changes. Property - Ozment/Seehusen Property permanent agricultural easement, Castle Rock Township. Public Hearings Scheduled for May 8, 2012 - Receive comments on proposed Social Host Ordinance and Dakota County’s Federal Fiscal Year 2012 One Year Action Plan for CDBG and HOME Investment Partnerships Program. Resignations - Human Services Advisory Committee and Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board members.

Authorizations: Agreements - 2012 Labor Agreement with Dakota County Human Services Supervisors Association. MN Department of Transportation for County Project 47-37. Contracts - McNamara Contracting, Inc. for pavement preservation projects. Envirotech Services, Inc. for applying liquid chloride on County Roads. Carter Goble Associates, Inc. for Judicial Center renovation project consulting services. Joint Powers Agreements - Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District for cost share of water improvement at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. City of Hampton for street sweeping. Ratified - Grant applications for Workforce Investment Act Youth Program and 2012 plans.
