The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations named Erin Edlund its National Communicator of the Year. Edlund serves as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Dakota County Technical College.
Edlund was promoted to the position last year after six years as marketing and communications director. In her new role, she oversees the college’s marketing and communications department, the DCTC Foundation, alumni relations, grants, sustainability and legislative affairs. Her expanded responsibilities are a natural result of her accomplishments on campus, in the community and at the state level.
One of the most celebrated awards given to an NCMPR member, the Communicator of the Year Award honors a two-year college marketing professional who has demonstrated special leadership or ability in college communications, according to information from the organization.
Edlund received the award during the NCMPR National Conference held in mid-March in San Francisco.
