Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the Empire Transportation Facility at 2800 160th Street West, Rosemount, MN. until 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at which time they will be opened and read aloud for the following County projects:

CP 4-12 Concrete sidewalk construction and curb replacement on CR 4 from Carrie Street to Sperl Street in West St. Paul

CP 4-13 Mill & overlay, curb replacement, and pedestrian curb ramps on CR 4 from Robert Street to TH 52 in West St. Paul

CP 6-09 Mill & overlay and pedestrian curb ramps on CR 6 from 10th Avenue to TH 156 in South St. Paul

CP 11-21 Traffic signal revision, island revisions, and pedestrian curb ramps on CSAH 11 at CSAH 42 in Burnsville

CP 11-22 Mill & overlay, pedestrian curb ramps, and utility repairs on CSAH 11 from CSAH 42 to CSAH 38 in Burnsville

CP 33-10 Mill & overlay, pedestrian curb ramps, and median construction on CSAH 33 from CSAH 42 to 138th Street in Apple Valley and Rosemount

CP 42-120 Traffic signal revision, island revisions, and pedestrian curb ramps on CSAH 42 at Portland Avenue in Burnsville

CP 42-121 Mill & overlay, pedestrian curb ramps, median noses, and utility repairs on CSAH 42 from west of CSAH 11 to Pennock Avenue in Burnsville and Apple Valley

CP 43-37 Mill & overlay and pedestrian curb ramps on CR 43 from Mendota Heights Road to just north of Vail Drive in Mendota Heights

CP 46-40 Drainage improvements on CSAH 46 at Interlachen Boulevard in Lakeville

CP 71-12 Mill & overlay and driveway relocation on CSAH 71 from CSAH 42 to TH 3 in Rosemount and Inver Grove Heights

CP 73-25 Mill & overlay and pedestrian curb ramps on CSAH 73 from CSAH 71 to CR 28 in Inver Grove Heights

CP 86-30 Mill & overlay on CSAH 86 from west of Garrett Avenue to the CP Railroad tracks in Greendale and Eureka Townships

CP 97-113 Bituminous repair and mill & overlay in the Wentworth Library parking lot in West St. Paul

CP 97-118 Mill & overlay and bituminous paving within Lake Byllesby Regional Park in Randolph Township

Major quantities of work include approximately 430,000 Square Yards of Bituminous Milling, 50,000 Tons of Bituminous Mixture, 100 Pedestrian Curb Ramps, and 2 Signal Revisions.

It is anticipated that a contract to perform the work will be awarded by resolution of the Dakota County Board of Commissioners at a County Board meeting on or prior to May 8, 2012.

Paper documents are also available weekdays between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM at the County Engineer’s Office, (952-891-7100) 14955 Galaxie Avenue, Apple Valley, MN 55124 for a cost of $50 if picked up or $60 if mailed.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond, made in favor of Dakota County in an amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount bid. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities therein.
