The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on February 28, 2012 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - February 14, 2012. Certification of Closure for All-Star Disposal, Inc. Waste Processing Facility, Inver Grove Heights and release of financial assurance. Appointments - Government Center Design Advisory Committee and Community Corrections Advisory Board members. Plans - Distribute Draft 2012-2030 Dakota County Solid Waste Master Plan. Whitetail Woods Regional Park Master Plan. Proposed Heritage Village Park Mississippi River Regional Trailhead. Dodge Nature Center North Urban Regional Trail Segment recommendations. Programs - Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN - Healthy Eating MN. Lifeworks Services, Inc. proposed Hastings location change. 2012 Federal Legislative Program. 2012 Farmland and Natural Areas Program (FNAP) projects and funding. Property - Acquire eight agricultural conservation easements via FNAP. Purchase Josephs Property, Spring Lake Park Reserve. Agricultural lease agreements on County property. Public Hearings - 2012-2013 Solid Waste Hauler Fee Schedule and add Elko New Market-Blakely Regional Trail Search Corridor to the County Comprehensive Plan. Ratification - Joe Dalager Law Office to represent individuals in civil commitment proceedings. Resignation - Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board member.

Authorizations: Closed Executive Session - Purchase Parcel 14 from Namakan Properties, LLC for County Project (CP) 5-41. Community Development Agency - Community Development Block Grant Program amendments. Contracts - United Behavioral Health, Inc. amendment for mental health services. VMware, Inc. for virtual desktop infrastructure services. Traffic Control Corporation for traffic signal cabinets. Joint Powers Agreements - Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District to assist with FNAP. City of Burnsville for CP 11-21 and 42-120 and utility and pavement projects. Bush Foundation for Jail Re-entry Assistance program Return on Taxpayer Investment business model.
