Rosemount added to its conference lead in goals allowed while stretching its losing streak to eight games last week.
The Irish surrendered five second-period scores in an 8-2 loss to Prior Lake at the Dakotah Ice Center last Tuesday. A slow start proved too much to overcome back at Rosemount Community Center when Lakeville South surged ahead with three first-period goals and earned a 6-3 decision.
The Irish have allowed 102 goals while scoring just 31 in 16 conference games.
Three players scored goals for the Irish on Saturday. After Lakeville North went ahead 2-0, Andy Gustafson got the home team on the board with a power-play goal (assists to Ryan Anderson and Luke Meade) at 10:58.
Anderson scored a goal of his own in the second (assist to Josh Winter) and assisted on a Ted Schultz goal in the final minute of the game.
Rosemount goaltender Tom Fraune finished with 37 saves.
Against Prior Lake, goals were supplied by Anderson and Tom Linder. Schyler Storer had two assists.
The Irish (4-19, 1-15) close out the regular season with a pair of games this week. They travel to Apple Valley Thursday and host Farmington for a non-conference game Saturday.
