TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Planning Commission of the City of Rosemount will hold a Public Hearing to consider the item listed below on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount, Minnesota, beginning at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. The Public Hearing pertains to amending the Rosemount Zoning Code to allow gravel mining that has a total area in excess of 160 acres.

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on the application received by Dakota Aggregates LLC for a zoning ordinance text amendment to amend Section 11-10-4 to allow mining in an area of Rosemount located west of Akron Avenue and south of County Road 42 which is currently not allowed so as not to interfere with orderly growth and expansion of public utilities.

Persons wishing to speak on this issue are invited to attend and be heard at this scheduled public hearing. Formal written comments will also be accepted prior to the meeting dates.
