The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on January 10, 2012 and took action with respect to the following matters: The Dakota County Sheriff’s Honor Guard presented the colors for the Pledge of Allegiance. Elected - 2012 County Board Chair Commissioner Nancy Schouweiler and Vice Chair Commissioner Kathleen Gaylord. Designated - 2012 local officials for Campaign Finance & Public Disclosure Board reporting and Association of MN Counties.

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - December 13, 2011. Appointments - Metropolitan Emergency Services Board committees and renewed joint powers agreement. 2012 chairs of committees of the whole, boards, committees, commissions, agencies and citizen advisory committees. Grants - MN Department of Public Safety for Homeland Security Grant Program and Emergency Management Performance. Ratified national scenic byway for Mississippi River Regional Greenway Trailhead and Heritage Park wayside rest. Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MN Active Living. License - Gopher Hills, Inc. - intoxicating liquor. 2012 Policies/Rules - County Board Operating Rules and Guidelines and Policy No. 1015 - Citizen Advisory Committee Membership. Pay Equity Implementation Report. Information Technology Merit Compensation Policy and Plan. Report - County Administrator performance evaluation. Resignation - Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board member. Settlement - Parcel 166 (324): County Project (CP) 23-70.

Authorizations: Agreement - Dakota County Community Corrections Association. Closed Executive Sessions - Offer to purchase Josephs Property and Billmeyer, Et Al v. Dakota County. Contracts - Magenic Technologies for CJIIN professional services. Hollstadt & Associates and NorthShore Resources, Inc. for ERP program services. Contract - Ramsey County for female inmate boarding. Joint Powers Agreements - Traffic signal revisions for Eagan, CP 31-73 and 43-36 and Lakeville, CP 9-51. Property - Restrictive covenants recorded for specified properties acquired for park/trail use.
