The Rosemount gymnastics team turned in a season-high score in the vault, but a season-low in the uneven bars resulted in a dual loss to Farmington Thursday.

The Irish scored just 29.7 points in the bars as the Tigers escaped Rosemount with a narrow 133.75-133.15 non-conference victory.

In the vault, the Irish had three of the meet’s top five performers and totaled 35.85 points. Kailey Askew placed second with a 9.25, followed by Meghan Creese in third with a 9.2 and Jenna Schlukebier fifth with an 8.8.

Askew won the all-around with a score of 33.75.

Another first-place finish came from Schlukebier in the floor exercise, where she scored a 9.15. Jana Elliott added a third-place showing in the balance beam.

Kathryn Beckett (bars), Kiana Lord (vault) and Kylie Wharton (balance beam) won events for Farmington.

The Irish resume their South Suburban Conference schedule next Tuesday when they take on Bloomington Jefferson and Bloomington Kennedy at Jefferson.
