The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on October 18, 2011 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - October 4, 2011. Adopted - Employee and employer contributions for 2012 medical Plan coverage, Short Term Disability Plan premium rates, and Merit Compensation Policy and Plan provisions. County policy for Emergency Assistance, Emergency General Assistance, and Emergency MN Supplemental Assistance Programs in response to legislative changes. Grant - Accepted County Veteran Service Officer Operational Improvement Grant Award from MN Department of Veterans Affairs. Plans - North Creek Regional and MN River Regional Greenways Master Plans. Property - Acquisition of agricultural easement on Gilomen Property and a conservation easement on Macalester College Property. Public Hearing - Adopted 2012 Dakota County fee schedules.

Authorizations: Submitting All Hazards Mitigation Plan to MN Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency for Approval. Special assessment against J and D Properties Empire, LLC for environmental remediation. Contract - Scott-Carver-Dakota CAP Agency, Inc. for Family Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Program. Encroachment Agreement - Magellan Pipeline Company, L.P. for Lebanon Hills West Trailhead Project. Joint Powers Agreements - West St. Paul and Burnsville for Pharmaceutical Drug Collection Programs. Memorandum of Understanding - Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging to continue implementation of legislation governing Long Term Care Consultation Services. Scheduled - Public Hearing to receive comments on proposed amendments to Dakota County Ordinance No. 50, Shoreland and Floodplain Management, November 15, 2011, 9:00 a.m., Dakota County Administration Center Board Room, Hastings.
