The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on October 4, 2011 and took action with respect to the following matters:

Approvals: County Board Meeting Minutes - September 13, 2011. Appointments - Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board, Human Services Advisory Committee, and Personnel Board of Appeals. Grants - Greater Twin Cities United Way for market rate re-housing for families. Plans - 2012 HealthPartners medical and dental plan rates. Plats - Prestwick Place 2nd Addition, Rosemount and Walmart, Burnsville. Project - Western Service Center atrium stair and balcony railing improvements. Right of way for County Project (CP) 5-41, Burnsville. West St. Paul, Burnsville, and MN Valley Transit Authority agreements for sidewalk and trail projects. Public Hearings - Release Draft 2030 Transportation Plan and Release Draft 2012–2016 Capital Improvement Program for public review and comments on November 15, 2011, 9:00 a.m., County Administration Center Boardroom, Hastings. Resignations - Dakota-Scott County Workforce Investment Board members. Settlements - Parcel 61 (324): CP 23-59. Parcel 58 (324): CP 23-59. 2005-2009 host fee compliance review with BFI Waste Systems of North America, LLC for Pine Bend Sanitary Landfill.

Authorizations: Closed Executive Session - Discuss labor negotiations strategy. Community Development Agency - Community development funding requests to U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. 2011 Community Development Block Grant Program amendment. Contracts – Mental health services providers. Contracts Amendments - Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for design services for CP 28-30. Joint Powers Agreements (JPA) - Technology and Information Educational Services (TIES) and Hastings to develop expansion option of existing optical fiber network. JPA Amendments - MN Department of Corrections for gender specific programming. Scott County for winter snow and ice maintenance. MN Department of Agriculture and Regents of University of Minnesota to conduct nitrogen fertilizer research and outreach. Purchase - Disaster recovery hardware. Request - To Commissioner of Transportation to transfer excess Municipal State Aid Construction funds to regular State Aid Construction Account. Scheduled - 2012 County Board/Board Committee of Whole meetings, workshops, and public hearings. Services - Job Advance program supported work services.
