Kelly Ann Cunningham
Kelly Ann Cunningham of Rosemount recently graduated from Valley City State University as part of the Class of 2011. She earned a bachelor of science degree in education.
SDSU dean’s list
Several Rosemount students have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence during the Spring 2011 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean’s list distinctions students must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Local students on the list include Timothy Ryan Stockman, Rebecca Susan Swords, and Ryan James Beadle.
Concordia College graduates
Rosemount students Jacob Johnson, Jamie Kubat, Raymond Noble, and Maggie Shaffer graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead on May 1. Jacob is the son of Bradley and Michelle Johnson. He earned a degree in political science. Jamie’s parents are Robert and Ann Kubat. Jamie earned a degree in mathematics. Raymond’s parents are Donald Noble of St. Paul and Nadine Noble of Rosemount. He earned a degree in music education. Maggie Shaffer is the daughter of Stephen and Nancy Bauernfeind of Rosemount. Maggie majored in psychology.
St. John’s graduates
Two local students participated in the commencement ceremony at Saint John’s University May 15. Daniel James Prostrollo, son of Jerald and Patricia Prostrollo of Rosemount, received a bachelor of arts degree in economics and philosophy. Patrick J. Spanjers, son of John and Julianne Spanjers of Rosemount, earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics.
Alyssa Weinstein of Rosemount was placed on the dean’s list for spring semester at Jamestown College. The dean’s list includes all full-time students who, during any given semester, earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better on a minimum of 12 semester credits.
Trevor V Olsen
Trevor Vincent Olsen graduated from Inver Hills Community College on May 12, 2011 with his Associate of Arts Degree and will (officially) graduate from Rosemount High School on June 4, 2011.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2010-2011 academic year. Rosemount students on the list include Katherine Ann Morris, College of Letters and Science, dean’s list; Adam Edward Szymanski, College of Engineering, dean’s honor list; and Alexander Adrian Van Orsow, dean’s honor list.
Commencement exercises were held at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire May 21, 2011. Local students who received degrees and their fields of study are Alexander Bell, BA, mass communication; Kirsten Burt, BS, psychology; Adam Fairbanks, BA, communication; Kayla Lemke, BS, kinesiology; Tyler Pauly, BS, psychology.
Jordan Wilhemi, a 2009 graduate of Rosemount High School, has received the Harold Roitenberg Scholarship in Journalism from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at the University of Minnesota. Jordan is the son of David and Sherrie Wilhemi of Rosemount. The Harold Roitenberg Scholarship in Journalism was established in 1983 by friends of Mr. Roitenberg in honor of his 50th birthday and supplemented by a gift from Mr. Roitenberg. It is awarded annually to an undergraduate major in the school.
