Heading into last week, Rosemount girls hockey coach Tracy Cassano was hoping her team was ready to build on three straight wins as the Irish faced a busy week with three games and were approaching the end of the regular season.
Rosemount’s busy week turned out as well as Cassano could have hoped and the Irish built even more momentum with two weeks left in the regular season.
The Irish beat Apple Valley, 5-1, Shakopee, 4-,0 and Bloomington Kennedy, 7-0, last week.
Apple Valley and Bloomington Kennedy comprise the bottom of the South Suburban Conference though, and the schedule gets tougher with games left against Lakeville South, Eagan and Eastview to close out the regular season.

But Rosemount appears to be clicking after stretching its win streak to six games after sweeping the three games last week.
Taylor Sampson had two goals and two assists for the No. 11-ranked Irish in the win over Apple Valley. Rachael Kelly had four assists as Rosemount’s top line was clicking.
Allison Micheletti had a goal and assist. Alison Warweg and Kristin Reuter also scored for Rosemount, while Kendra Goodrich added one assist.
