Irish play Lakeville South in opener of state tournament tonight

The Rosemount football team opens the Class 5A state tournament tonight with a matchup against familiar South Suburban Conference opponent Lakeville South.
The Irish play the Cougars at Griffin Stadium in St. Paul at 7 p.m. Griffin Stadium is located near St. Paul Central High School. Results can be found here at www.rosemounttownpages.com following the game.
Rosemount beat Lakeville South 35-3 earlier this season.
The winner advances to the state tournament semifinals, to be played next week at that Metrodome.
