The Rosemount football team advanced to the Class 5A state tournament with a 29-18 victory at home against Eastview on Friday.
Andrew Hausmann scored three touchdowns and Kevin Larson added another touchdown for the Irish. The two also connected on a passing score for a 2-point conversion in the victory.
Rosemount turned a 15-12 halftime advantage into the 29-18 final with touchdowns by Hausmann and Larson in the second half.
With the victory, the Irish will play Lakeville South in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament on Thursday, Nov. 11 at Griffin Stadium in St. Paul.
Rosemount, the champion of Section 3, was prescheduled to play the Section 1 champion.
Lakeville South earned the Section 1 title with a 49-17 victory against previously unbeaten Rochester Century on Friday. Rochester Century was ranked No. 7 in the final regular season poll and was 9-0 entering the game against Lakeville South.
Rosemount beat Lakeville South 35-3 during the regular season in South Suburban Conference play.
